ROMANCE OF | RIO GRANDE AT COLISEUM Western Out-door Produc- tion Featured—"'Sun- ny Side Up” Tonight “Romance of the Rio Grande” ccmes to the Coliseum tomorrow night. Fox Movietone, with a great cast. The story concerns two cousins, one a half American (Mexican on his mother’s side) and his Mexican | cousin., They are jealous about the vast estate, the property of -their grandfather, and particularly over Mary Duncan. This intriguing beau- 1y, in_the role of Carlotta, is too much for any man to resist. Warner Baxter, as the half caste cousin, wins the affections. of a number of charmers—and, too, by the way he can sing. Antonio Mo- Teno, playing his-first “heavy” role, as Juan, is passionately fond of Carlotta and. proves a brilliant foil for Baxter., This story moves at a brisk pace without a pause from first to last scene. Almost, at the very opening, from the attack by bandits on a construction job, to the fatal strug- gle at_ the end, one has to hold one’s breath, so gripping is the ac- tion. In support of the three featured stars are Robert Edeson gnd Mona Maris. “Sunny Side Up,” by special re- quest is again the attraction at the Coliseum tonight for the fifth night.
