Tolan and James Dumphy, Chilkoot Barracks, held in the local Federal jail charged with attacking the late Deputy Marshal E. H. Sherman, at Haines, have been surrendered by eivil offi- cers to Army authorities at the Haines post, today. They will be taken to Chilkoot Barracks and tried by court martial proceedings under Army regula- tions.
