He was put out at second on the next play, when Roberts elected to try for him. Hollman reached first on this choice. Hollman went to sec- ond on a wild throw by Manning to catch the runner at first. Junge fanned, but MacSpadden singled over second base to score Holl- mann. P. Schmitz fanned for the third out. Ten men went to the pan for the Legion in the fourth. Coughlin| doubled into right field. J. Schmitz was safe when Hollmann fumbled his grounder. Brown sent a hard single into right field, scoring Coughlin and sending J. Schmitz! to third. Brown stole second and scored with J. Schmitz when Bert Oberg’s hit to P. Schmitz, was thrown over first base. Oberg con- tinued to second. Orme 8truck out. Manning sent a siogle ‘through third base to put Obe.g on third. Manning stole second. . Roberts was safe on first and Manning went to third on a fielder’s choice, Schmitz to Blake, | which caught Oberg at home. Rob- erts stole second. Niemi was walked, filling the sacks.
