Riser Larsen, has | left the Antarctic for Capetown. The vessel unsuccessfully sought the rock reported sighted by Capt. Hendrickson, of the steamer Truls in the region of 59.9 south and 23.39 east. Capt. Riser Larsen is of the opin-| fon that the reported cliff must have been one of the many over- turned ice mountains which, being covered with black earth, are eas- ily mistaken for rocks. e Budi Curvich, of Douglas, is eriti- cally ill at the St. Ann's hospital, the victim of an attack of double pneumonia. He was taken ill early in the week, but was not moved to the hospital until yester- day . Last night, after having been moved from Douglas, the attending physician gave him practically no hope for recovery, but he had a good night considering his condi- tion and has a chance to pull through, attendants said this morn- ing.
