Walker, 59, died at 11:45 p.m. last Saturday in the St. Ann's hospital after an illness which con- fined him to the hospital since February 7. Death was caused by old age. Born in Michigan, Walker came to Alaska in the rush of 1898 and has made his home in the Terri- tory ever since. For several years he was with the-Alaska Gastineau Gold Mining Company and about | where he has since resided. He is survived by a brother, Dr. J. J.
