Saunders, accom- panied by Mrs. Saunders, of Yuma, Colorado, arrived in Juneau last night on the Alameda to take over the pastorate of the Northern Light Presbyterian Church, succeeding The Rev. O. A. Stillman, whose ill- health compelled his resignation many months ago. Rev. Stillman left Juneau last Apiil and is now in Eugene, Ore. During the vacancy the Rev. Henry Young of the Methodist Church has been holding services in the morn- ing in the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. and Mrs. Saunders mo- tored from Yuma, Colorado, to Se- attle, making the trip in about two weeks. The new pastor announces joint services of the Presbyterians and Methodists to be held at the Metho- dist Church Thanksgiving m at 11 o'clock. = The Rev. Saur will preach the sermon and extends a cordial invitation to all to attend. A meeting of the Alaska Presby- tery was held at Haines on Novem- ber 20th during the convention of the Alaska Native Brotherhood at which time the Rev. Saunders was received into the Presbytery.
