Henry O'Malley, commissioner of jthe bureau, reporting on present results of 1927-28 salmon tagging experiments in Alaska, today de- jclared that the system of salmon ’imgging has made possible the en- ® :forcement of the White Law of 1924 Ithrough which salmon conservation is effected. This law provides that no more than 50 per cent of the annual sal- mon run shall be used in the in- dustry,: the other 50 per cent being tallowed to escape .
