Last year, Mr. Holzworth pre- sented the Biological Society of Washington with the skull of a arge male grizzly which he killed on the east slope of the Talkeetna mountains, near the Oshetna or.the | Black River. The locality is near- 1y due north of the Matanuska re- glon and about 50 miles north- northwest of Chickaloon. The skull may be seen in the U. S. National Museum in the Biological Survey collection from the Talkeetna Mountains, Alaska. Mr. Holzworth also hds a mount- ed specimen of bear, entitled Ursus Holzworthi, in the National Col- lection of Heads and Horns in the Bronx Zoological Park, in New York City. William P.
