SEAPLANE KETCHIKAN ATTEMPTS RESCUE | The Alaska-Washington Airways seaplane Ketchikan, Pilot Anscel C. Eckmann, assumed the role of res- cuer yesterday, when, as it was returning from a trip up the Taku River to the boundary line, Mr, Eckmann noticed a small boat with an outboard motor, apparently stranded on a sand bar, and land- ed the plane to lend aid.
