L. Hemen a fine bear | skin night. How the bea:! came to its death through sudden | fright caused by the sound made | by the rifle bullet was told today by Mr. Hemen upon his return rrnml the Fox Farm, near where the ad- | venture took place. The animal was first seen by | Mr. Hemen and his wife when they had traveled about a quarter of a mile frora the Fox Farm as they were returning to Fairb ing their car, it ran ol _he road and started up a hill. Confident ! it would cross the road again a| few hundred yards ahead. Mr. Ho-f‘ men drove on. H Sure ugh it appeared in sight again a short distance ahead of the auto. The bear, unaware of th=z presence of human beings, amused itself by knocking over stumps and Mr. Hemen crept up within 100 feet to take a shot. When he fired Lhel bullet hit the ground about six inches behind the bear. Action started right away. The bear gath- | ered itself for a leap to get out of the danger zone but forgot to| look ahead and in the middle of its | spring collided with a telephone | pole and then, unable to get its| footing, rolied down a steep hill| for about 50 feet. ~Mr. Hemen | heard it for a few minutes and | then all was still. Going down, he found the bear dead. It is believed that its neck was broken, either when it collided with the pole or in the fall down the hill— | (Fairbanks News-Miner.) — - AT THE HOTELS Gastincau W. E. Moultry, Seattle; Arthur J. Without any faint idea of music or notes, without any study or practice, you can play perfect like | an artist, any dances, fox trots, one steps, operas, marches, ete. No- body can see the mechanical ar- rangement, everybody must think you are an artist. Wonderful tone, playing complete with all bass and accompaniments. Anyone can play immediately. Instead of complicat- ed keys, a music roll produces the melody automatically. But you do all the actual playing exactly as you hear and see the artists playing except the finding of the right notes or tunes {—and no one can see that a music rroll has saved you years of study. You control the tempo (speed), the feeling and expression in the music. You can put your heart and soul into your playing, which, of course, makes the AUTOMATIC ACCORD- EON superior to any player piano (or any other automatic instrument. The climax of real joy for everyone at entertainments, parties and so- cial affairs. Big money made by playing at {moving pictures, dances, fairs, out- (ings, etc. Music is wanted and wel- comed everywhere. THREE MODELS—Fully guaran- teed. Thousand Testimonials.
