FINE PROGRAM IS ANNOUNCED FOR JULY 4TH Official Program for An- nual Local Celebration Made Public Today Beginning with the appearance of the Westminster Glee Club sing- ers in this city July 1, and 2, the Fourth of July Committee has ar- ranged a celebration program that will run continuously until “After the Ball is Over,” on the night of | the Fourth. There will be the usual patriotic exercises, baseball games, a big| smoker, races and other events for the kiddies, races for adults, and the grand ball. Hon. John Rust- gard, Attorney General of Alaska, will be the Orator of the Day. Program of Events | The Westminster Glee Club will appear on July 1 and 2. On the following day the Army and Navy will tangle on the bal lfield, the Navy Air Mappers’ team taking on a Soldier outfit from Chilkoot Bar-| racks. On the evening of the same day, the American Legion smoker card will be staged. The Fourth opens with a band concert at 10 am. Patriotic exer- cises will start at 11 am. and be| held in the Palace Theatre. These will consist of: Selection .
