Whit- ney, legal advisor for the Prohibi~ tion Department, with headquarters in Seattle, took the stand as wit- ness for the government, when Court convened at 10 o'clock this morning. H Mr. Whitney came north to be a witness in this case and to look over the activities of the depart- ment. He expects to be here about 10 days and intimated that there is a possibility of a change in the personnel of the prohibition force in Juneau. . «Fred Miller and Vera Miller, charged with illegal cohabitation. were sentenced by Judge E. Coke Hill yesterday afternoon. Fred Mil- ler was given a sentence of two months in jail and a fine of $250 and costs. Vera Miller was sen- tenced to serve 30 days in the Ketchikan jail. l Boney Rigor, charged with illegal cohabitation, pleaded guilty in the U. S. District Court yestcrday af- ternoon and was sentenced to pdy a fine of $125 and costs.
