Returning to the Yakutat district, the balance of the season's pack will be put up, consisting mostly of red salmon. The greater part of the pack canned by the Retriever is gill net fish. Eight power dories are own- ed and operated by the cannery, these supplying ample fish to take care of the canning capacity. R. L. Davis, formerly associated with Mr. Wright in the ownership of the Retriever, will this season be in charge of the fishing operations.
