Where nothing but criticism comes Boston's way regarding the clubs as a whole, there’s nothing but praise when the names of Big Ed Morris of the Sox and Lance Richbourg of the Braves are men- tioned. Here is a pair of ball players, either one of which would have brought pennants to several big league clubs last year. This is es- pecially true of Morris who, as a rookie at 27, won 19 games for a club that finished last. With either the Giants, Athletics or Cubs, Mor- ris would have meant a pennant. With a first division club to help him along, he easily would have won 25 games and probably several more than that. Bill Carrigan sent Morris into 47 ball games last year.
