Jason Robards, Helen Ferguson, Baby Mary Louise Miller, Robert Perry, Jack Curtis and George Con- nors are in the cast. S0 “Jaws of Steel” is a rousing story from the pen of Gregory Rogers, and Charles R. Condon made it into a screen play. It is by far the most thrilling of Rinty pictures and that is saying a lot. A waif pup, grows up on tha desert, and becomes a menace to cattlemen. He finally finds the people who befriended him in his puppyhood, the Warrens and their little girl. They are in danger from crooks who are trying to get their claim because they have struck gold., What Rinty does to accomplish this will make you shout as if you were at a Big League ball game when Babe Ruth was making a home run! Seiter, Universal's directerial star, whose latest production, “The Cheerful Fraud,” starring Reginald Denny, comes to the Palace theatre here tonight. Seiter carries out his belief in “The Cheerful Fraud.”” The pic- ture is an adaptation of the popu- lar English novel by K. R. G. Browne and virtually the entire picture takes place in a driving rainstorm. £ No one will deny that rain & most depressing and the reaction to it is far from cheerful. That is just why it is an excellent background for a pattern of high comedy, Seiter believes. “A jeweler would not think of displaying a diamond on a gloth of gold background. He would use black velvet,” Seiter argues. ‘That is why a gloomy, dark and depressing background heighten: the comedy and the absurdity of the actions of the comedians.” A cast is of exceptionally popular and gifted players, including Ger- trude Olmstead, Otis- Harlan, Ger- trude Astof, Emily Fitzroy, Ch-rlu Gerrard and others.
