Death was caused by a cancer from which she has suffered for some time. She was buried beside her husband in a Seattle cemetery. She leaves an adopted son, Nathan, about 13 years of age, in Seattle. Mrs. Weitzman went south from Haines about three weeks ago in search for medical relief. Mrs. Weitzman came north from Seattle in the Klondike days of '97, in company with Mr. Gross and others and joined her hus- band, then in business at Dyea. When the White Pass and Yukon Route started operation and Dyea went down, the Weitzmans moved Haines and located. Following Mr. Weitzman's death, Mrs. Weitzman continued a of Haines until going south about three weeks ago.
