The kid dies were all treated to a feast of ice cream and cake. ——~—— JOHN O’'CONNOR, INTERIOR PIONEER, DIES, FAIRBANKS John - O’Connor, Garden Island farmer, resident of Fairbanks and vicinity since 1903, died at Fair- banks of pneumonia April 25, aged 73 years. He is survived by his widow and six children, Mrs. Mar- garet Abercrombie of Anchorage, Mrs. James Cody of Dawson, Jack | O’Connor of Brooks, Joseph O'Con- nor of Chatanika, Pat O’Connor and Miss Kntherme O’Connor of Fairbanks. Deceased was born near Dublin, Ireland, in 1855, and came to New York when he was 16. He was married there when he was 20 to Miss DBridget Cragin. A few years later they moved to Montreal and after a few years to Minnesota and then to Tacoma where they resided for 15 years before Mr. ©'Connor left for Dawson in 1898S. His son, Pat, joined him at Daw-|on the west shore of Port Al- son in 1899 and the following year the rest of the family joined him.| All of them have been residents of the north ever since.
