NEWS ‘YUKUN DELAYED * BY GULF STORM Arrives Here 24 Hours Late—Takes Concen- trates and Fish South Heavy winds carrying blinding snow gave the steamer Yukon, Capt. Anderson, one of her rough- est trips across the Gulf of Alas- ka and delayed her arrival here more than twelve hours, according to officers aboard the ship. Unfavorable weather prevailed from the time the ship left Cor- dova, but the worst part of the storm came when the steamer was about half way across on her voyage from that city to Cape | Spencer. Remarks overheard from { passengers on the steamer indi- ! cated the early spring weather did |not agree with them. The Yukon landed at the Ju- | neau Cold Storage Company whart where she loaded 19 boxes of fresh halibut, 3 boxes of fresh salmon, and 72 boxes of frozen halibut. From there she went to !the city dock and then to the Alaska Juneau, and loaded 65 tons of concentrat before sailing for the south at i o'clock yester- day afternoon.
