Queen Asks Fate 0f Wounded Pigeon PORTLAND, Ore, Dec. 28— Many happenings at home have claimed the attention of Queen Marie since she returned to Ru- mania from her American tour, but she has not forgotten a pig- eon which was wounded by a hunter after she released it at Maryhill Castle near here on the Columbia river. y “Princess Drifted Snow,” one of several winged messengers re- leased by the queen, was the wounded bird. Recently Quecn Marie wrote from Bucharest i) Corliss Bulger of Portland asking about the pigeon and requesting a copy of a picture taken when she | released the bird.
