The Vets sewed the game up in the fifth when Koski homered with two men on the bases ahead of him, breaking a one to one tie. The Paps made a race track out of the paths in the sixth when the Leglon outfit staged a juggling skit, scoring five runs on a lone single and seven errors. Vets Outhit Moose The Vets outhit ‘the Moose slightly but their hits were kept well scat- etred by Schmitz and Moose errors came few and far between when the Vets had men on the bases. The lat- ter cracked out six ‘safeties to four made by tho Paps. Little Mac’ Mac- Spadden’s batting featured the game. In four trips to the plate he slapped out a single, a two-bagger and a nifty three-hase drive, and one sac- rifice hit, giving him a perfect score. The Moose couldn’t hit Cunningham safely, but errors at critical times cost the Legionnaires their chance to win. Cunningham gave way for Manning in the sixth after five runs had “been scored in that framo. Jim- my held the Moose helpless, striking out three men and ylelding not a single hit.
