The annual reunion of the North Idaho Pioneer _Associa- tion will be held. at Lewiston, Idaho on September 27th, 1928, and citizens of Lewiston are making elaborate preparations to make the affair a success. This annual reunion of Idaho Pioneers is unique in that it is more truly typical of old times than any other such gathering. Many other places give shows and pageants and other forms of entertainment, but at this re- union the old pioneers them- selves meet together, have their banquets, tell stories, dance the old time dances and sing ole songs. At the reunion last: year, over four hundred old folks, to- gether with. hundreds of the later generations, gathered to- gether for two days at what was pronounced to be the most mem- orable event in the history of Lewiston. The reunion is open to every one in the Inland Empire inter- ested in Pioneer affairs, but a special invitation is extended to | Pioneers of North Idaho and the Inland Empire to attend. All real old pioneers, that is those who came to Idaho as adults prior to the Indian War of 1877, ‘| will be entertained free of charge by the City of Lewiston. Citizens of every community are urged to send their old pioneers | to the reunion, as it means so much to these old people who will soon be passing on. The meeting will be held at the splendid new Lewis Clark Hotel, registration will be com- menced at 10:00 o’clock A. M. business session will be held at 2:00 o’clock; banquet at 6:00 o’elock and old time dance at 9:00 o’clock. Cars Will be pro- vided for any who desire to see the city. Citizens will be in at- tendance at all times to care for the wants of visitors. Invitations are being sent to fall pioneers whose names and addresses are known to the com- mittee, but all pioneers and friends are invited.
