In anticipation of the biggest fair and border days ever held in Grangeville, the Idaho County Fair association trustees met i Grangeville Saturday and named committees and department su- perintendents for the 1928 fair,| % to be held on October 10, 11 and 12, Marking the return of a long- lost brother, Hiram Kerlee, from whom no word had been receiv- ed for forty years and who long ago was given family reunion of the Kerlee family was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Knox in Grangeville. Present were Hiram Kerlee, Mrs. Minerva Bagley, Mrs. Thamer Sebastian, and Coleman Kerlee, Clarkston; Mrs. Naomi Gentry and Mrs. Mary White, Cottonwood; L. H. Kerlee, Eugene, Ore., D. C. Ker- lee and Mrs. Fronia M. Knox, Grangeville. The state organization of War Mothers seeks the mother in Idaho who furnished the most sons in the late war. Every city and hamlet in the state is being searched that the reward may be rightly bestowed. To this end every organization in the state is asked to look over its roster and make a report to Mrs. Catherine De Kay of Black- foot. The mother who had the greatest number of sons in the World War will be called Idaho’s war mother” and she will be the distinguished guest at the na- tional convention of the National War Mothers at Kansas City in September. All: expenses and transporta- tion will be paid by the Kansas City chapter. POOL POPULAR. Cottonwood’s swimming pool has been exceedingly popular the past week, a large number of the young boys about the town making use of the same by tak- ing daily plunges. A number of the older folks have also taken advantage of the same. The water, while only about four feet deep in the pool appears to satisfy the desire for which it was built.
