Dan Laverty, on whose guilt of assault with a deadly weapon a jury in district court at Grangeville disagreed, last week, after being out twenty-four hours, was released from the county jail Saturday on bond of $1000, and returned with his family to his home at Pardee. The jury in the Laverty case stood nine for conviction to three for acquittal, on the twelfth ballot. Laverty shot in the leg and seriously wounded Calvert Tweeten, at Laverty’s home, on March 11.
