Henry Alexander Shinn, 57 years old, for more than twenty years a resident of Doumecq plains, died in his home, Tues- day afternoon, following a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered in the morning. Mr. and Mrs. Coy C. Cole have been receiving congratu- lations this week on their mar- riage in Spokane on Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Cole form- erly was Miss Christine Knorr, daughter of C. B. Knorr, of this city. Jos Derrig and Dale Eimers on Wednesday purchased from O. W. McConnell his confection- ery store in Grangeville, and Thursday morning assumed charge of the business. The store has been named the “Kandy Kitchen.” Miss Effie May Shinkle, 15, and Maurice Potter, 20, were married Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock by W. N. Knox, minister, in his home in this city. Re- latives of the couple witnessed the ceremony. Cast up by turbulent waters on an island in Salmon river, near the Crofot place, twenty miles upstream from the Sillge ferry, and about twenty miles east of Dixie, the unclothed body of Charles Putts, of Salmon City, was found Tuesday, according to advices received by the sheriff’s office in Grangeville from the mountain country, J. G. Eimers and James E. Graham on Wednesday purchas- ed the real estate, loan and in- surance business of the George M. Reed company.The business, which was established in 1903 by the late George M. Reed, is widely known in Idaho county and has large interests here, particularly in loans.on Camas Prairie farm lands. Sweet & Hamill, proprietors of the Cash Meat market, on Monday installed a modern cold storage plant in their market. The plant is an Armstrong re- frigerating plant, and was erect- ed by C. K. Pfrima, of Spokane. The machine is of 1923 model, and has all the latest improve- ments. The storage feature in- cludes not only the ice box, but the showcases. BEEF.
