The farmers are thoroughly aroused to the crying needs of sheds wherein to house their machinery when not in use. Thousands of dollars are lost every year because of machinery left out doors exposed to the sun and rain that could be averted by a small i:.vestment in sheds. Two Hundred Fifty dollars will buy enough material for a | uilding large enough to take care of the average farm- ers needs and which will serve him for 15 years or longer at no expense for up- keep whatsoever, provided he builds for service and not for looks. And now just after the country has passed the rocks and rapids of financial chaos and reached placid waters, we are in danger of being swamped by the breakers of a Railway Men’s strike. The railroads claim it is a strike against the government. May be so. But did we not see in the coal strike the futil- ity of government by injunction from which we should learn that there are some things against which government and legislation is impotent. But public opin- ion will settle the matter and it is against the strikers, the highest paid labor in the world. With millions of men out of employment the railroads will be man- ned and operated, and if need be Uncle Sam’s Khaki Boys will be called into play. The strike will sooner or latter have to disappear from all those indust- ries on whose immediate life the community depends, such as the vailroads. No people will forever tolerate the possibility of great suffering because of a dead- lock dispute between the owners and their employees. If the strikers really go on stike it will be seyious, and if they do—Goodby labor unions. KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS McKinley Lodge No. 38 Meets every Tuesday evening. John Homar, C. C, Bert Schroeder, K.
