That the object of said proposed bond issue is to create a new debt sgainst the} Village at large and to use the} proceeds from the sale of said} bonds for the grading, paving, curbing, sidewalking and other-| wise improving the streets and | Village. | Sec. 3. That the total! amount of said proposed bond issue shall be Twenty Thousand | Dollars ($20,000.00), payable within twenty (20) years and re- deemable after the erpiration of ten (10) years from the date of | issuance. Such bonds shall be redeemable at the pleasure of the | Village. as herein provided, and} each bond must be redeemed in the order it is numbered. See. That only tax pay-| ers in the Village of Cottonwood | who: are qualified electors there-| in shall be entitled to vote at such election. Sec. 5. That the ballot to be used at such election shall be) in substantially the following form, to-wit: VILLAGE OF COTTONWOOD | SPECIAL ELECTION HELD | IN THE VILLAGE OF COTTON WOOD ON THE 28rd DAY OF AUGUST, 1921, TO VOTE UP-| ON THE QUESTION OF AU- THORIZING THE ISSUANCE! OF MUNICIPAL COUPON BONDS OF SAID VILLAGE IN THE SUM OF $20,000.00, In favor of issuing bondsto the amount of $20,000.00 for the pur pose stated in Ordi- nance No. 114 Against issuing bonds for $20,000.00 for the purpose stated in Ordi- OC) nance No, 114 Sec. 6. That the Village Clerk be and he hereby is re- quired to give notice of said election in the manner and form | required by law. | Sec. 7. That there shall be assessed, levied and collected an- nually (in addition to all other) authorized taxation) upon all) property within the Village of Cottonwood, a special tax pro- ducing the sum of Twelve Hun- dred Dollars ($1200.00), less the interest on any bonds that may have been paid or redcemed prior to such levy, for the payment of the semi-annual interest coupons on such bonds, and that there shall be also assessed, levied and collected annually the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.- 00) to constitute a sinking fund for the redemption of the prin- cipal of such outstanding indebt- edness; that such special tax to be assessed shall be levied and collected as are other village tax- es until all such bonds and the | interest thereon have been fully paid; that the faith and credit of the Village and all taxable property within the limits of said Village, as the same now exists or may hereafter be ex- pended, are, and shall continue pledged for the payment of such indebtedness and the interest thereon.
