EIGHT MURDERED ON NORTH DAKOTA FARM Turtle Lake, N. D.—Eight persons were found dead at the farm home of Jacob Wolf, three miles north of here, victims in a “mysterious tragedy. Seven of the eight persons found slain were shot and the eighth was struck a fatal blow on the side of the head with a hatchet, {t wes decided at the corner’s inquest. Jacob Wolf, on whose farm the tragedy occurred, his wife and four daughters were vic- tims of shotgun wounds. Martha Wolf, three years old, had been struck on the head with a hatchet. Jake Hofer, 13, hired boy, also was shot to death. Some of the victims also had been | struck with the hatchet. Powder marks and burns indicated most of the shots had been fired at close range.
