Walter just recently returned from overseas where he spent 16 months with the American Ex- peditionary forces. Judge Wilbur L. Campbell and wife of Grangeville were in Cottonwood Saturday. While in the city the Judge attended to some legal matters which are to come up at the present term of the district court. Soltman, of Grange- ville was a visitor in Cottonwood Saturday evening. Mr. Soltman stated that a rain at Grangeville Saturday afternoon settled the dust and that auto drivers were forced to put on their chains to insure safety in driving. Dr. W. S. Jackson, the eye- sight specialist of Grangeville was in the city Monday andTues- day on business. The Doctor stated he did the best business in Cottonwood on this trip then any at former time. Dr. Jack- son has been making visits here for some years in the interest of his profession. B. C. Albers accompanied by his father and mother and little daughter and John Bauer mo- tored to Nezperce Sunday where they spent the day at the home of Joe Smith. Mr. Smith is an old time friend of the family and he expects to remove shortly from Nezperce to Chewelah, Wash., where he will make his future home.
