COUNTY SEAT NEWS ITEMS | Marion Tipton of Slate Creek who was in the city the fore part of the week accepted delivery of a new overland car through the agency of Peagock & Nau, who maintain headquarters at the Cen- tral garage. Miss Della Hauger who has been critically ill for the past six weeks has returned to her’ duties at the Alexander-Freidenrich store. Since convalescing Miss Hauger has been spending the time at her grandmothers’s farm home, in the Fenn section. : Miss Jennie N. Peters of Joseph and Fred Canfield of Spokane, were married Easter Sunday, at noon, in the parsonage of the Fed- erated church, the Rev. G. O. Oliver officiating. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Riutcel. They will reside in Spokane. D. F. Van Pool one of the big stock men of the Spring Camp section, was an arrival. here last Saturday, having come out to put ~ the final touches on the purchase of the holdings of A, P. Johnson in that section, in which he ac-! quired a half section of land and some 225 head of cattle and all the horses belonging to Mr. John- son, H. H. Heerman of Fenn sold} his farm this week to J. Frank Sims. The place consists of 280 acres and is located four miles! north of’Denver. Consideration was not disclosed. Mr. Heerman |’ will probably rest this summer and in that time look up a new location. . One hundred and fifty men are now employed by J. A. Hoskins & Co., on the link of the Nroth and South highway between want before it is all gone. Hussman L “HOME .BUILDERS’” second steam shovel will be placed in operation within a few weeks. Frank Atwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Atwood, was married on March 30 to Miss Mary Bas- set of Sandpoint. The ceremony took place in Sandpoint. The marriage was a surprise to Mr. Atwood’s parents, who only a few days ago were advised of the event. Mr. Atwood is employed in the trust department of the Old National bank at Spokane.
