For some tine past the managenient of the Fitehburg Railroad have been negotiating with tho. Stato an- thorities for tho purpose of sccuring con- tracts such as the statute mentioned above provides for, and yesterday morning the State and raflroad authorities signed a con- tract which secures to tho Fitchburg Rond tho right to operate with its trains that portion of the ‘Troy & Greenfield Railrond extending from North Adams to Greenfield, for the next seven years, upon terms equitable to both the Cont Mmonwealth and its connecting rond.
