W, Rice, of the Hotel Reporter, officiated in the capaelty of Secrutary. any " PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS, ‘The address of tho President, was tho frst thing-In order, Ho said that he was no speech-maker, and therefore they must not expect much from him, Ife alluded to the oc- casion as being the tirst reunion of hotel men in the country. | Some of the members had come along distance, nnd some of them lived in Ohicago. Jt was his pleasant task on behulf of the Chicago members, to wel- come tho visiting mumbers to this elty—with open arms and open doors, te their firesides. and to thelr frugal repasts, JApplause. He congratulated them upon his auspicious gathering, and thought it augured-well for tho future of the Society. Hie reviewed the. history of the Association, and: felt good over the ‘success it had met with, At its present progress, he predicted that they would have not Jess than 700 or 800 members at the thmaof their next reunion, Te oxtended thanks on behalf of the Asso- ciation to Messrs.
