Derrotr, Mich., Dec, 6.—Deflnite and refiable information recelved in this city this afternoon sets at rest the conflicting rumors floating about concerning the final disposition of the E Divislon of the Chicago & Lake Huron Kail- road. It Is afixed fact that Vanderbilt has secured {ts control by purchesing the bonds of the Albsny bondholders who cootrolied the punding litigation. This not only secures an outlet for the Chicago & Northeastern from Lansing to Flint, which he controls, but also defeats the (irand Trunk’s scheme to secare a Chicago connectlon by grabhing up the Eastern Division of the Chicagu & Lake tluron, The recise terms of purchase are not yet known ere. The extensiun of the Canada Southern to Sarnla as an eastern outlet to this line will naturslly foltow, One rosult of the purchase of the Albany bonds is an indefinite postpune- ment of the bearing of the bill in behalf of the Albany boudholders of the Chlcsgo & Lake liuron, asking for the appolntment of a Jle- cclver for the Chlcago & Nortleasteru, fixed for Manday next before Judge Daxter at Cin- cinnatl. The transfer of the Eastern Divisiou involves a comolote break in the through line of the Chicago & Lake Hnron unless the Western Division be rold at such a sacrifice that Vander- bilt might regard it as an object to purchase it also.
