At about 8 o'clock yesterday morning, the mammoth slanghter-houso of Nolsvn Morrls & Co., o half mile west of the Transit House at the Stock-Yards, was dlscovered to be nfire. TheTown of Lake Fire Department, and Engine No. 20 of the clty force, turned out promptly, but the water facilities were very poor, and by daybreak the bullding had been destroyed. Beveral adjacent bulldings were also burned.
