Hardin over Sunday, and then proceed to Kansas City. CASUALTIES, A WASH OUT. Special Dispatch to The Chicaco Tribune, Quriscy, Ut., Sept. 11.—Last night a freight train on the Missouri, Kansas & Texas Railway was ditched near Booneville, Mo., by the giving way of s portion of the track, causing the death of the engineer and injury to three of the train-men. The regular westward bound freight train on the Missouri, Kan- sas & Texas Road left Hanvibs at the usual time, conductor George Frost having charge, and William ‘Sidle as engineer. The recent beavy rains had not materialiy interfered with the running of traing of this route, and it was thought that the track was in per- fect condition. When nearing the station of Booneville, distant some 90 miles from Hanni- bal, the track over a portion of low ground had been undermined, aod as the engine was paseing over the rails the embankment gave way, throwing the engine and wv few of the forward cars from the track. The mis- hap ocourred near midoight. William Side, the enginéer, was badly ecalded by the over- turning of the engine, and has died from the injuries received. George Frost, the condictor, was also severely, if not fatally, injured, receiv- ing bruises about tho head and ehoul- ders. ‘Tne brakeman hed not been heard from, and it is supposed that be was thrown from the traia and drowned in the swollen stream. The fireman escaped with @ alight scratch. RUNAWAY ACCIDENT. As Elijah Walker, Daniel Ubl, aud Rt. L. Stewart Were coming into town, the borses ran away, up- setting the carriage, aod all were thrown out, Hr. Stewart, who is visiting bere, but resides at Gallipolis, O., sustained se- rious injories, Ho 1s stul living, but there are no hopes of his recovery. Mr. Uhl, a wealthy farmer, wos badly hurt, but is now conscious. Sir. Walker, leo s farmer, was badly shaken up. Drs.
