The patent was in one Samael Holdenbery, nnd the power of attorney to James D, Wadsworth. Itold Reed that Turner wanted s new power of attorney of a later date. ** All right,” said Reed, and I left bim. The next morning be brought the pew power of attornov to the office and delivared it to B. K. Turner in my presence. Capt. Joho C. McGraw, of Quincy, testified to arresting Reod, binging bim to Chicago, and ‘marking certsin contents of histrauk for identi- fieation. At the request of Mr. Biwett, ME. L. H. BISIEE, an attorney, and Reed's adrvisor, was called for the defense, he baving an engagement else- whers, The prosecution had not rested their case, but Mr. Baroum offered no objection.
