It has been loarnod from those who were present st the caucus that Erio has offored to leaso the At- lantic & Great Western at & porcentage of its gross carniogs, without any guarsuteo, and that the proposition has been nccepted by the Directors of tho Atlantic & Groat Westorn, Mr. Watson thaught tho working expenses of the Atlancio & Great Western would oqual 70 por cent of its carnings, and thorefore ho held that .Erio conld not aiford to pay more than 30 per cont to the Atlantic & Great Woatern propric- tora. ¢ Mr. MoHenry thought tlio cost of running tho road would amount to ouly 65. per cent of the gross earnings, and therofore Erio should pay 85 por cent.
