' He had a broad, heavy silver ring on the littls finger of the right hand, with ini- tials marked on it, but too much worn to enable one to tell what they were. There was found in the eide pocket of his coat two letiers dated, “ Milwaukee, October13,1872.” One was a letter of recommendation as = first-class cook from H. Hafemaster, to F. Kaeifer, stating his name to be Henry Sparks. The other letter was from s person Bigping her name as Emma Sprague. No valuables "were found upon his body. The verdict was in accordance with the above, accidental drowning by the sinking of the ptoamer Lac La Belle, October 14, 1872, On' the same day an inquest was held by Coroner Carter on the body of H. The whose body came ashore near Pentwater. Money amonnting 0 $47 and s gold watch were found Tpon the body. By his memorandum book his residence was ascortained " to be Bedford, Ohio.
