ELISON & FOSTER, Auctioncers. LAWNDALE! Barely two months ago the press of the coun- try announced the outbreak, among the horsesof the Canadian cities, of a disease which, though not fatal, was so prostrating inits effects, and so rapidly spreading, as to cause serious apprehen~ ‘sions in the cities and throughout the provinces generally. This disease continued to ravage the Dominion, and the daily reports from Canads, and especially from Toronto, became more and more alarming, as the epidemic assailed a large proportion of the stock of that city, none being exempt in livery and boarding stables, sale stables, or even private stables. TEE FROGRESS OF THE DISEASE has for the past two or three wecks beenwatched with intense interest, fears that it would cross the border and infect our own horse stock being generclly entertained. This fear, =s the telegraphic despatches in Tee TrmBUNE yesterdasy show, have mliready been realized.
