ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo., Nov. 16. —(Special to The Tribune.)}—At the first state convention of the Wyor ming division of the Izank Walton ague of America held in Rock Springs there were 23 delegates in attendance, 10 of whom were from Rock Springs. An organization was perfected and convention voted to hold its next convention in July’ in Yellowstone park, !n response to an invitation from Supt. Horace M. Allbright, George Ross, son of Governor Nellie T. Ross, appeared as a spe cial representative of Ailbright. He strongly urged approval of the pro- posed park extension program and in a 45-minute discourse from the convention floor he pleaded with the delegates to pass a resolution favor- ing the park extension. Ross him- self introduced department of in- terior resolution endorsing the ex- tension, forced a vote on the meas- ure, and the convention adopted it, 10 against to 18 for. A banquet and dance in the eve- ning followed tho day's session. Many delegates from state chapters were unable to attend because of the storm. AUTOS CLAIM LIVES OF 14 IN WEEK-END , CHICAGO, Nov. 16.—)—Auto- mobile mishaps accounted for 14 or more than a score of accidental deaths in the middle west over the week end. Five were Killed in St. Lovis, four in Chicago and vicinity, two in Omaha and three in Fort Madison. The automobile toll for the entire week in nine central states mounted to 117, the highest figure registered for some time. Ohio toppd the fatality list with 38 deaths, followed by Indiana with 21, Tiltinots with 18 and Michigan with 17. Minnesota reported 9, Missouri 7, North Dakota, Nebrasna and Oklahoma two “ach and Kansas one. Other Sunday fatalities include the death of four trainmen when the Columbian. crack train on the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul, collided head-on with a freight train at Renville. Minn.
