LOGAN, Utah, Nov. 6.—Championship hopes of Wyo- ming university were given a setback here yesterday when the: Cowboys went down to defeat, 26 to 13, before the onslaught of the Utah Aggies. Defeat came to Coach ‘Dietz’ warriors after they had finished the half in the lead, 7 to 3. The Colorado Aggies and Utah re. ymain the only two undefeated teams ~dn-the conference as a result of the game here, but Wyoming will have a chance at both of them in closing ‘games of the season. Utah must play the Colorado College Tigers, the Cow- boys and the Utah Aggies before the end of the season, while the Colorado Aggies have yet to meet Colorado university, the Mines and the Cow- boys, Although title. hopes have been reduced to the vanishing point an up- set may bring them into a tie for the championship. ‘The Farmers game yesterday was featured by the brilliant work of Thomas, Utah's left half, who suc- cesstvely made long gains and car. attempts at field goals, c The first score for the farmers nm the first period Fesulted from a is which placed the ball well in Wyoming territory and Thomas drop-kicked a goal from-the 2 -yard Une. In the second quarter, after several exchanges of punts, DeFor- tercepted an Aggle pass and ran 55 yards for a touchdown. rly in the third quarter, DeFor- res attempted to kick from the Wyoming goal line, but the punt was blocked and Jeffs, of the Aggies, fell on the ball for a touchdown. The next Aggie touchdown was made after a series of passes and lne- bucks which placed the ball in a position for Thomas te buck over Layr " |Rejuvenated Eleven 4 “Saturday” when Hs his eciorts to nave] Be Seen in Action. ; squad from Coach Dough keel |: : sh > Tomorrow.
