WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1925 By MARY TOBIN State Pioneers Celebrate Birthday Anniversaries. Col. EB, H. Kimball, father of W. S. Kimball of Casper and John Higgins, prominent state pioneers, celebrated their birthdays last week at thelr homes in Glenrock. Casper friends will be interested in the fol- lowing clipping from the Glenrock Independent: “Wednesday, the 21st, was the birthday anniversary of two of Glenrock’s distinguished citizens— Col. B.. H. Kimball and John EB. Higgins—both of whom have been prominently identified with the de- velopment of the community since it started az a mining camp in the 808. “Mr. Higgins, who acknowledges 68 years, is still active In business Ufe, setting a dally example of energy and community interest worthy of emulation by younger men. Col. Kimball wag 83 years old Wednesday. He is Glenrock’s sole remaining representative of the G. A. R. The colonel has sur- rendered active work to younger hands, but takes the liveliest inter- est in all movements for the de velopment or the betterment of the city. Schiele, Former Casper Man Is Married In Minnesota Casper friends will be interested in learning of the marriage on October 21 of Miss Borghild Ofstedall of Minneapolis to Glenn* W. Landes, former Casper boy and son of Mr, and Mrs, R. ©. One of the pretty parties given during the week was the informal bridge party and tea at which Mrs. B. J. Gillis entertained this after- noon in the Gillis home, 1928 South Spruce street.
