Mr. Slade. states that the Edgerton school building will be com- pleted and ready for occupancy within= another week. At present the Edgerton pupils are . attending school at Midwest. There will be at least 2 hundred pupils at Edgerton. The teachers will be. Mrs. Jarl Deeds and Mrs. L. L. Border, now teaching at Midwest will be trans- ferred. “Mrs.~Ruth~ Nett will have charge of-the upper grades. Notes. The hundred foot steel flag pole has arrived and will be erected in the court at the southeast, corner of the new high-school. ‘The school board has purchased from Mrs, Verna Keays a beautiful hand made silk state flag, to be placed on the stage of the new aud!- torium. + The smoke stack for ihe heating plant at the new high school is be- ing extended to one hundred feet jn height, which awill then accommo- date the use of either ‘fuel gas or coal. A battalion flag has been ordered for the cadet corps, and will arrive within a ‘few days. This will add much to display occasions. The supply department in the basement of the Vocational high school building, will shortly be moy- ed to the basement of the east wing of the new high school building, In quarters specially designéd for the purpose. New Teachers. Miss Verona Fried}, of Given, Minn., began teaching, music in the upper grades at Lincoln school last Monday. Miss. Margaret Shuberth, of Chi- cago, has arrived, and will. begin teaching kindergarten at Washing- ton school, tomorrow. Heretofore only half day: sessions have been held in these studies at these schools, in charge of substi- tutes. The enrollment has increased so rapidly, that it became {mpera- tive to employ full-time teachers.
