ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo., Sept. 12. —The reopening of the Lionkol com- pany’s mine at Lionkol, Wyo., after that mine had been idle for ten months, heralds the arrival.of bet- ter times in the coal industry in this section, The Lionkol compaty reopened their mine. last Tuesday morning with a full crew of 150 men; every house in the Lionkol village, 65 in all, is occupied, and the. company plans shortly to reopen their com- pany store at.that place. Under present indications the Lion- kol mine will be operated six days a week, with a full shift of men. ‘The.company is now producing 1,000 tons of the Lionkol daily, and ex- péct, before long to be up to ca pacity, which is about 2,000 tons daily. With the reopening of the Lion- kol mine, the power plant at Blair- town was also started again. This plant supplies power to both the Blairtown mine and thé’ Lionkol mine of the Lionkol company.
