Germany Constructs New Zeppelin for Polar Exploration Adventure “ Che Casper Daily Cribune SOME RESORT PLACES THAT YOU WILL LIKE THURSDAY, JULY 23, 1925 The Morris Ranch The west, appealing at all times, finds its pinnacle of grandeur in the summer season, and its call at that time is most resistless, The minds of the American people should revert to the glorious beauty of thelr own country, and particularly to the great rugged west, crude, heroic and al. ‘This part of the west today is the same land of freedom known to the Indian and early pioneer. Desire to explore any particularly tempting spot need not be quelled for fear of trespassing, The land has become home for many, and yet remains In its immensity practically untouched. Within the shadows of Trout Creek mountain to the north, Sheep mountain to the south, Cedar and Rattlesnake to the east, and the Absoraska Range to the west, lies nestling in the valley the Morris route was extended to Cody, and the ideal climatic, scenic and recrea- tional advantages of the region be- came better known, Rnachmen commenced to entertain guests from the east, and thus began the de mand for ranch-resort accommoda- tions and outings in the Cody coun: try. With the completion, some time later, of the Cody road—now inter- nationally famous .90-mile scenic highway through the Buffalo Bill country from Cody, Wyoming, to New York. Here a broad, magni- ficent vista to the westward greets the eye; immediately below, and ex- tending some miles, is Shoshone lake (the government reservoir) and beyond and between the high ranges, gradually drawing more closely to- gether, is the winding way through the mountain along which the Shoshone river and Cody road keep close company for miles. After descending through the west end of the canyon, the road skirts the shore of the lake for a mile or two and then winds past small irrigated ranches, through the willows and cottonwoods and soon Holm Lodge is reached. Altitude ,7,000 feet, is beautifully situated on Libby creek, command: ing a view of surrounding moun- tains that is unexcelled, The Lodge is surrounded by evergreen and Cody through 53 miles of awe spiring grandeur—the Shoshone Canyon—with fantastic carvings and odd formations and are at the f of Sylvan pass, on tho eastern threshold of Nature's wonderlar Yellowstone Park. Pahaska Tepce located as it is in the heart of the Shoshone National Forest, with its million and one half acres, has other attractions for the tourist or nat lover than its rare beauty and sc setting.
