Sisterhood closed in Lar- amie Thursday evening. Friday the visitors and delegates inspected the Cathedral home for children and the university campus. At the open session held Wednes- day evening the invocation was by Dr. F. F. Kraft, rector of the Episco- pal church of Rawlins who was in laramie attending the Clericus. Mrs. Gladine Winterrowd sang two selections, “The Joy of Spring,’’ (Huntington Woodmen) and “Tis Day,” (Leon Callvelo). The welcom- ing address was given by Dr. A. G. Crane, president of the university of Wyoming on “Scholarship,” after which Mrs. Huber C. Hilton and William Green of Sherwood Hall, of the Cathedral School for Boys sang everal ‘pleasing solos. Mrs, Winona Evans Reeves of Chicago, editor of the P. E. 9. Rec- ord, gave an interesting word pie- ture of the founding of the P. E, O. which {fs next to the oldest col- lege sorority. Following the evening session a banquet was given at the Connor ho- tel for members a.d their husbends. A feature of the evening's program was the Lions’ club quartette of Laramie which gave several novelty numbers, President Crane presided and toasts were responded to by R. P. Gotschalk and Dr. Kraft of Raw- ins. At the morning session of Thurs- day, committee meetings were held, secret work of the state chapter conducted with reports of the guards read, the opening ode “Blest Be the Tile" devotionals by Mrs. Margaret Daley of Chapter A, minutes of the previous sessions, reportsfrom chap- ters K. L. M. N. and O. a solo by Miss Vera Neely, report of the mem- otal library committee, objects and aims reeited in unison and “Inter- pretations’’ Mrs, Nora Banner Neff of Casper, chapter O, Mrs. Doris Harper Allen, chapter N and Mrs. Amy G. Pollard, chapter L. The morning session was closed with a report by the chapter reports committee, report upon state his- tory, auditing committee, mircellan- edus business and announcements, fgllowed upon state history, auditing cemmittee, miscellaneous business afd announcements, followed by a luncheon at the Commons. At 1:45 Thursd-y afternoon, at the ufilyersity auditorium, the members of. the Cheyenne chapter presented the play, “Lest We Forget” with the following cast of characters: Mrs. Wavering, Mrs. Carlisle. The evening session, the last of the convention began at 8 o'clock, the final numbers being roll call, election of officers, songs by the P. Class Initiated In Thermopolis This Week. Thirty-three candidates were in- itlated into the order of Knights of Columbus ata meeting held in Ther- mopolis Sunday. The work was conferred at the Liberty club rooms by teams from Cheyenne, Denver and Casper. Sunday evening a banquet was given at the Emery hotel with 123 guests attending. During the banquet a musical pro- Sram was given under the direction of Mrs. Corinne Williams, which included the following: Vocal solo by Mrs. C. T. Coyne of the Padlock ranch; vocal solo by Mrs. Zealia Collins of Cheyenne; vocal solo by Mrs, Williams, and a gong by Ed Donohue of Casper. Mrs. M. C. Savaresy gave an enjoyable original reading. Swanson of Cas- per, daughter of Swen Swanson of Holand, Sweden, and Carl P. Nelson of Omaha, were married on Monday, June 15, at Kountze Memorial Lu- theran church in Omaha, the Rev. George Dorn officiating. Mr. Nelson was formerly a resident of Douglas coming to Casper several years ago.
