It shall be his duty to make an examination of the hooks and actounts of the City Treasurer and of the Citv Clerk and all other officers of the City having to do with the receints or disburrements of the revenues of the City, He shall make a re- rort of such examination to the City Conncil cuarterly or as often | as the Mayor or City Council may Wyoming, | Or | appointed shall be an accountant | A NOW direct, and said veport shall con- tain a full and complete statement and account of the moneys re- ceived and disbursed, by, cach of. the said officers or departments} since the last previous examina- tion and report of the.same; and for this purpose the City Auditor shall have full access to all books of account and papers in each of said offices | (b) He shall receive and pre- serve in his office all accounts, books, vouchers, documents and papers relating to the ‘counts and contracts of the city, its debts, revenues and other fiscal affairs not required to be kept by the Clerk and Treasurer, and ex- cept as otherwise provided in this ordinance or other ordinances of the City of Casper. He shall pre- scribe the mode of keeping, dat ing and rendering all accounts. He shall provide and keep in his office tables of the .fiances, and names of emploves in each de- partment of the City in such man- ner as to show the department in which they are employed, their respective salaries, powers, duties, and how appointed. He shall re- quire all claims, settlements, re- turns and reports made to him to be verified. He shall give infor- mation as to the exact condition of the City finances and of every appropriation and fund thereof upon demand of the Mayor, City Council or any committee thereof. (c) He shall keep a true and accurate account of the revenues, receipts and expenditures of the city and of exch of the several,de- partments and the funds thereof. He shall see that rules and regu- lations are prescribed and observed in relation to accounts, settlements and reports; that no appropriation of funds is overdrawn or misap- plied. and that. no liability is: in- curred, money disbursed or prop- erty of the city disposed of con- trary to law or ordinance. (e) He shall be authorized by and with the advice and consent of the City Council to employ such clerical assistance and secure such equipment and supplies as may be deemed necessary for the purpose of putting into effect the provisions of this ordinance, and as shall be deemed for the best interests of the City. SECTION 3. BOND. Before entering upon the duties of his office, the City Auditor shall ex- ecute and deliver to the City of Casner a good and sufficient bond in the sum of Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of his office, said bond to be approved by the Mayor and City Council aud as to form by the Citv Attorney SECTION 4. SALARY. The City Auditor shall receive as full com- pensation for all services rendered by him as such auditor, the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars per year to be paid in regular semi-monthly installments. The salaries of assistants employ- ed by his office shall be such as may be prescribed by the Mayor and City Council by motion or resolution.
