SANDAL HEAR IN BRITISH DIVORGE CASE LONDON, March 4.—Details of her friendship and her intimacy with Sir John Steven Cowan: former quaftermaster general of the Brit- ish army, which she alleges her hus- band encouraged because of his de- sire for military preferment, were given to @ court heve today by Mrs. Doretiy Muriel Dennistoon, who is suing Lieutenant Col. Ian Onslow Dennistoun for $952,000 which she says she loarfd him during their arried life.. They were divorced in 1921. . Colonel Dennistoun, who married the former Countess Carnarvon af- ter the late earl's death, denied the allegations and set up an alternative | dofenee in which he charged former wife with misconduct with jother men after their divorce. The former Countess Carnarvon sat next to her husband during the hearing. ‘Mrs. Dennistoun, in her testimony joday admitted misconduct with the eneral in Paris. She declared their ntire friendship had been revealed fo her husband, who, she alleged re- lied “Terrible as it seems, I sup- ose it must be done." COOLIDGE GOES ON WITH WORK (Continued From rage One) lowed to expire with the sixty-eighth congress at noon yesterday, and its resubmission to the special session of the new senate, called chiefly to act en such mattere, will be one of the principal noniinations to engage its attention. Everett Sanders of Indiana, suc- certor to C. Bascom Slemp as secre- tary to the president, was sworn in late yesterday after his term as rep: resentative from Indiana ended with _ the congress. Many of the thousands of visitors who came to Washington for the in- ‘uguration ceremonies, remained to- y to “look around” before return- ing home, though some of th* scoré of officials headed by governors or Meutenant governors, were prepared to return home quickly. Thore re- maining for several days included all of the personal guests of President and Mrs, Coolidge including Mrs. Andrew I. Goodhue of Northampton, Mass., the mother of Mrs, Coolidge and Mr. John C. Coolidge, the ¢xecu- tive’s father, who, when news came that President Harding was dead, ad- ministered the presidential oath to him in the family home near Ply- mouth, Vt., under strikingly differ: ent circumstances than prevailed yerterday. The rain which the government forecasters feared might mar the in- augural ceremonies in the afternoon vheld off until midnight, maintaining ‘the ‘Coolidge luck” tradition, Bright inuugurations days with a touch of spring in the air are occasions to re- member in Washington, although that is the way the weather has al- jost always shaped up whenever Salvin Coolidge was being inducted »f Anto some office in the Jeng line that led him to the presidency. FALKELIOGE TAKES HELW (Continued From Page One) been held by Secretary Hughes through four of the most eventful years in American diplomatic his- tory, Mr. Hughes had left the staie department to complete his prepara: tions for sailing Saturday for Ber- muda, where he expects to spend several months before resuming his practice of law in Xe rk. The retiring secretary shook hands with a few state department officers who had gathered in the corridor to bid him farewell and also with the mes. his sengers who have served outside his | door. He seemed elated at his re x lease from official cares when he left \ the big building. Plunging into his new duties, Sec: retary Kelloggs first appointment was for a conference with President Coolidge with whom he will now work in guiding the nation's foreign policies. ‘ —— NEW LINEUP IW CONGRESS WASHINGTON, Mareh 4.—In tontrast to the present congress, in which the Democrats and insurgents combined have a majority in both Are You Ow a Jobe ll of ¢ The Tribune will help every ff man and woman in Casper tn search of employment to find work by publishing Wor One Insertion “Porition.
