C:, Dec. 13.— Further assurance of protection for car owners against the fraudulent tactics of certain types of motoring organizations is seen in the tempo- rary injunction recently secured against an organization appropriat- | i | ing the nationally known trade merk of the Amercan Automobile association, according to a state- nt just Issued by the latter or- n from its headquarters in y- The injunction was served on the Atlantic Automobile association, Inc., by the United States marshal on November says the state ment, and was sought by the American Automobile associat’on, through its attorneys, In tha inter- ests of thousands of car owners who were being led to believé that they were to benefit by a service that has existed for 23 years and that is fa- vorably known throughout the world. Officials of the A. A. A. declare that the final disposition of this cage is of particular importance to motor car throughout the’ coun- try. The A. A. A, already has list- ed nearly one hundred fly-by-pight automobile clubs, practically all of which are known to have been o ganized for personal profit by. th promoters, thus representing a ous menace to the work of org tions which are pledged to operate in the interests of motor welfare.
