No great herds of cattle, no multitudes of sheep, no fields of grain and hay could do what the oceans of black gold have accomplished for Casper. Residents of this city realize fully the debt which we owe to the fearless men who pioneered among Wyoming’s oil fields and who were not afraid to invest their money that prosperity might reign. The oil men of the Mountain States are in convention here at the present time and will continue to discuss their problems in meetings on Wednesday. All meetings are open to the public and an attendance at one of them might prove a veritable education for many local folks, - . ; This page, paid for by men who are proud of their home city and who wish to express for the entire community the deep appreciation which Casper holds for the choice of this city as the convention center for 1924 may give some indication of the true spirit which underlies the seeming quiet and business-like everyday life of Casper.
