It has all of these elements and imgre. If this produc tion, a Paramount picture, directed by Joseph Henabery and featuring Agnes Ayres, which came to the Ito theater last evening is a fore- inner of what we are to expect ng this line of films in the future, we must say that the outlook for picture fans is indeed a bright one. We have seen so-called mystery- dramas before, saw too much of them in fact, but here's one at last that lives’ up to everything claimed of ft. Itis a story of a young wife who in endeavoring to enlist the ald of a new-made friend to further her husband's professional amb! tions, finds herself brought into a bad light socially by the publication of an insinuating article about this innocent affair. Naturally, the hus: band is furious, not at the wife for he* understands her motive, but at the other man in the case. The latter.ig found in his apartment my steriously murdered, alone. ery thing points to the husband, of course, even the wife is convinced of his guilt. There is a cross examination, and with it comes one of the most dra matic climaxes ever put on film. Here's a real tribute to the genius of Joseph Henabery and art of Miss Ayres.
